When this Magento 2 product questions module is installed, each product page becomes equipped with question and answer area, which works either as a regular comment section or a FAQ section - the exact application is up to administrator. Once the customer has a question about the product, he may submit the question using this area. Both an administrator and other customers will have the opportunity to answer the question. Both questions and answers may be rated for usefulness. Additionally, an administrator may create both questions and answers himself, closing info gaps on product pages.
Being a larger retailer with numerous product categories it is challenging to provide all relevant information on every single product. Much less to have an experience of using all of them. The best you can do is copy specifications provided by the manufacturer and hope it satisfies your customers. It is not always the case, however.
What size is a shockproof pocket in this backpack? How long before this knife develops patina? What kind of fabric softener is best for these socks? What shape is a cord connector used on this laptop? Does this office chair provide a proper air supply to one's posterior? There is just no way you can predict all kinds of things people would want to know about your products!
But, there is a way they can find all the answers without leaving your store. Install Product Questions and let your customer ask anything they want to know or browse through past questions to see if there is already some light shed on the matter. This way you keep your customers in place, increase customer satisfaction, and create a stronger bond with your customer base.

A customer has a choice of asking either a private question - visible to administrator only, or a public question - open for everyone to pitch in.
Administrator decides which questions get published and whether or not answers will have to go through administrator validation.
Create your own questions or share existing ones across all relevants pages to avoid repetitive inquiries
Administrator may let customers rate questions and answers. Ratings may be also edited manually via backend. Having rating system allows customers to view submissions by usefulness.
New tab is added to customer area to keep track of asked questions. There is an option for email updates as well.
Administrator may choose to be notified about all new questions and/or answers via email
When viewed by product it is easy to see which products get more questions and might need an information update
Control who may post questions, provide answers, and give ratings. Edit customer content if necessary.
Filter the questions manually or use one of our predefined bookmarks to go straight to the areas that require your attention
