The extension installation is easy and it is a fine new addition to your magento backoffce. But for it's price, it should pack more features such the ability to add custom columns based on attributes. I only used this extension to hide unnecessary columns and resize other because the additional columns that this product let's you add are worthless. Bottom line: overpriced!

AW Team: Grid Manager 2.0 will have features you mentioned.

I have purchased several Aheadworks extensions -- all work great, with good documentation. But in this case I think it should note on the website that you can't add just any attribute to the grid -- only a few predefined ones. I was hoping to add in some basic ones like 'manufacturer'. They told me it will come in a future release, but I thought people should know before they buy. I like it otherwise.

Decent Module with Several Uses Review by BryGuy

This is a great module if you have extended the fields in your products or catalogs. You can better list, organize and select records compared to trying to use the default listings provided by Magento.
