Questions on Follow Up Email
- From maggie at 11/10/09 10:12 PM
- can i actually see the contents of the abandoned cart or at least know the value of the abandoned cart? Currently I can only tell I have a certain number of abandoned carts but I don't know who abandoned them, how much the value was. Sometimes a user just needs further clarification on their order and a follow up email would be really useful.
- Maggie,
You can view abandoned cart content using preview feature in the Follow Up Email mail log. But your email template should contain these items.

- I'm looking for something like this, but with the added ability to add a rule saying "N days after product X was entered to be shipped, send email Y".
Sample usage, if they buy a printer, a few months later I want to e-mail them automatically asking if they're running low on toner. Of if they bought a games console, whether they are interested in any of our games. Or if they bought a light bulb to tell them it needs replacing soon. Etc.
Can your module do this and if not, can it be customized by you to do this? - Yes, this is possible. You can set up follow ups by any order statuses, e.g. "Shipped" or "Complete" and send any number of follow ups on a configurable number of days later.

- Where can I see what the possible events are that will trigger an email to be sent out? I need to notify a customer that their order is delayed after 14 days if the order has not shipped yet.
- Gregory,
In version 2.0 we introduced log section which displays all messages that are going to be sent as well as already sent ones. Through the log interface you can monitor all extension activity.
