Installation
Clear the store cache under var/cache and all cookies for your store domain. This step eliminates almost all potential problems. It's necessary since Magento uses cache heavily.
- Backup your store database and web directory.
- Extract the contents of the archive on your computer and navigate inside the extracted folder.
- Using your FTP client upload files on the server.
If you use a different from 'default' theme - be sure to rename folders app/design/frontend/default/default and skin/frontend/default/default to your store's values.
That's all, the installation is complete now. You can proceed to the Configuration section.
Configuration

General configuration options are available in administartion panel:
"Progress animation" - controls AJAX progress block position and appearance.
"Cart animation" - controls cart update effect type.
"AJAX activity indicator" - you may override activity image with your own using this option.
Show confirmation dialog - enables/disables pop up dialog with Continue shopping or View cart & checkout links
- You can also customize progress block appearnce editing css file: skin/frontend/default/default/ajaxcartpro/css/styles.css
- Confirmation pop up dialog source located here: app/design/frontend/default/default/template/ajaxcartpro/confirm.phtml
- Clear Magento cache.
Troubleshooting
- After installing the extension the store gives an error, or blank page, or suggests to start Magento installaton procedure.
Change the owner of the extracted extension files to the web server user and set 775 permissions on them. Clear the store cache and try again. -
My configuration changes do not appear on the store.
Clear the store cache, clear you browser cache and domain cookies and refresh the page.

I got this extension for a site with slow "add to cart" functionality. It does improve the user experience and allows less page loads.
Aheadworks were very resonsive and helpful and I could not fault them. I would definitely buy from them again

At first the extensions did not work but Alex replied quickly to support requests and within a couple of days the extension was working superb.
A possible suggestion/improvement might be the possibility to show related products in the confirmation screen. This could increase sales.

Very easy to install and set up!
A few nice-to-have features in a future update:
1. A configurable timer to close the pop-up - maybe with a visible count-down.
2. Disabling the pop-up for the shopping cart when customer adds cross-sell products.

The installation of this module went very well and smooth. Just followed the steps on their website and it worked.
I did notice an issue which I reported during the weekend. It got solved on Monday, mind you they contacted me during the weekend for login info. Great extension, first-class service.
We use a spin-off the modern theme and do not notice any problems updating the quantity on the checkout page.
